Google Play has introduced parental controls and Family App filters. The new Google update will be available to users automatically(it's not necessary that everyone will get the update on the same day). The new update includes many features related to your family's security.
The Features Include...
Age Rating
Apps will now have a Age rating for eg. 3+, 5+, 10+ etc. Apps will have a small age rating badge on their app page.
Parental Control
Parents can now control the content that is visible on their play store home or any other page or search results. Parents are required to setup a 4 Digit PIN number to get started. After that you'll be asked to choose an age group. Google play will only show you results and apps relevant to your selected age group. For example if you choose a Rating for up to 10+ age group, then only apps that are rated below the age group of ten will be visible. This restriction can also be applied on Google Play Movies.
Authentication for Purchases
Google Play will prompt for your password for all purchases related to content that is rated under 12. You can also enable authentication for all purchases in the settings of the app.
Family Apps Section
This is a new section that is introduced in the new update. When you go to this section, you can find all Family safe games and apps.
Developers Page. This is a new feature that Google Play has introduced. App developers can now have their own page that displays all their apps and games. So when you click on 'More by XYZ'. You can go to the developers page of XYZ where you can find all the apps the developer has created in a new redefined way. In a developers app page, you can find a brief description about the developer and you can share the whole developer page too.
