Reserve your Copy Of Windows 10 Today

Yesterday while I was using my Windows 8.1 PC, I found a small windows logo in the notification Tray (lower right corner of your screen). When I clicked on the icon, a window popped up which asked me enter my email address, so as to register for the free update to Windows 10! I was in a fix. When I read through the paragraphs written in the pop up I found out that the update was not a trial version, but a full version of the upcoming Windows 10! I was confused because Microsoft is giving this update for free!

Some things to take care of....

This update will only be available to Windows 8.1 or 7 PCs or tablets. Windows Phones running on Windows 8.1 will get the update later this year.

Be sure that you want to update your device. Sometimes new OS updated may have some bugs. So be sure to checkout some websites or forums for reviews and bug reports. I'll be posting an article about the update after the 29th of July.

The update will be rolling out to users on 29th July. The update is going to be huge i.e 3GB. So be sure that you have a fast and stable Internet connection.
Remember that your device should be compatible. Only genuine Windows operating systems will get the update.

Not getting the update notification?? Try these steps.

  • The Get Windows notification is located in the notification tray of your PC's task bar(Lower Right Corner).

  1. Ensure that your device is running on Windows 8.1 or 7 SP1.

  2. Ensure that Windows updates are turned on and automatic updates are enabled.

  3. Ensure that you are running on a Genuine copy of windows.

Some incompatible devices will get the Get Windows notification after 29th of July. So be patient.
