How to take Screenshots like a Pro!! Tech-DeFrag!

You do something awesome in phone, like getting a high score or applying a new wallpaper or you've made an app and now you want to present it on the playstore in a nice way. In such situations, you love to share those screenshots to different social networking websites. They maybe amazing but why not make it look even more amazing! If you've read our previous articles, you would've found some screenshots that are inside a device frame(If not, go to any of my previous posts like Charity Miles App Review or Four Letters Game review ). You don't need to be any Photoshop or Illustrator Expert to do this. Infact you don't even need a computer! You can make your screenshots look realistic directly from your Android phone or tablet. Screener (By ToastCode) is the app that helps you do this. Screener was under beta testing for many days, but now it's available for everyone on Playstore.

Screener has a material design UI which makes it more appealing. There are many device frames to choose from(2 D). You also have Android Wear frames too. There are some 3D frames too but it's still in beta. 3D frames are disabled by default. You can enable them by going to the settings menu.

As you can see screener supports a wide range of device frames. Toastcode adds new frames frequently when requested by people in their Google+ community.

How to use Screener?

Screener is very simple to use. Any novice android user can use this app easily. All you need is your screenshot and screener app.

Once you've taken a screenshot, open Screener and choose any desired frame. For now we'll be using Nexus 5 (Sometimes your phone's frame may not be present on the menu. Don't worry, choose any frame that suits your device's resolution and screen Size.)
After you select the device, a new window pops up. Here you'll find all the tools that are required to customise your screenshot. But first we need add our screenshot to the device frame. Press the plus button on the frame and choose your screenshot.
Now your screenshot is added to a device frame. Now if you want to make it look even better, you have 5 features which helps you to do so.

Reflection(Sun icon) - Adds a reflection to your screenshot. Makes your screenshot look more realistic

Shadow (Square icon with some dots :p ) - Adds a 2d shadow

(Press the Arrow key to move to next set of options) Background Image(A picture icon) - Adds a background image to your screenshot.

Background Image Blurr (A circle) - Applies a blur effect to your background image.

Background Colour (A pallette) - Applies a color as your background. (Note: Blur effects does not work on colored backgrounds.)

Using the above features make your own design for your Screenshot.

After making changes to your screenshot you can either directly share it or save it in your internal memory.

If you are a person who likes to share their home screen, and you didn't get a good platform to share those pictures, then you should probably use Google+ Communities. There are lots of people who may see and +1 your screen shots.
