YouTube is ready to roll out its new subscription service, YouTube Red aiming to provide you with the ultimate YouTube experience. The service, which costs $9.99 / month lets you view videos without watching any ads, Pretty cool right? It also lets you you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background and this subscription extends across all the devices and YouTube related services. Now you can play videos even when you've locked the phone or when you are using any other app. You can download more number of videos for offline access.
YouTube Red also works with YouTube's upcoming app, YouTube Music. YouTube Music is a service which is pretty much similar to VEVO, but without ads. And the best part, with YouTube Red or Music subscription, you also get a subscription to Google Play Music. YouTube has planned to bring original shows and movies from some of the great YouTubers only to YouTube Red Subscribers, next year.
Do You really need this?
This totally depends on you! This is because some of us may be okay with the ads and might not have any problem skipping through them, but if you are music services like Spotify which also costs $10, you might want to consider subscribing for YouTube Red as it also comes with Google Play Music Subscription. So you are getting the access to Google Play Music as well as an ad free YouTube experience.
